Support my friend Sam Besong in his Walk for Multiple Sclerosis!!
People don’t tend to think of MS as something that can affect them, but it can happen to ANYONE at anytime for no apparent reason. In fact, most people are diagnosed in their 20’s! That makes me want to find a cure yesterday!
“Having multiple sclerosis means that you may not be able to walk when you wake up. Or that you may suddenly have impaired vision. Or that your memory will fail you for no apparent reason. The symptoms of MS are different for everyone – the only certainty is that it will affect yet another person every hour of every day.”
Help Support a cure and aid to those already diagnosed with MS.

Here are some other ways to help.

Last night we went to RnB Live, a showcase at the Key Club in West Hollywood hosted by Tank. Every Wednesday they have singers (usually unsigned) perform with a live band. The singers were pretty good (some better then others) and the band was great! Last nights feature performances included Johnny Gill and Truth Hurts. Members of the audience included Damond John (Owner of FUBU), Miki Howard, FloRida, Danja, and DJ Quick and some others I can’t remember. Overall it was a good show, great place to go if your looking for something to do on a Wednesday night. Im thinking of performing there soon….
Rainy day in Cali today so we decided to do something indoors…I had heard of the California Science Center and felt like today was the perfect day for it. Its cool cause all you pay for is parking ($8) and you can go to all the museums in Exposition Park for free! I felt like a kid on a field trip (and nearly got attacked by some) but it was fun and we learned a lot. I feel much more educated about the world and the things in it!
This was my favorite part of the museum. You stand in front of a blue wall and the game scans your body then virtually puts you into the game. I was horrible at it, but it was really fun!
Our Creation….
This is how long your intestines are!!

This is how much blood you have in your body. Look at all the things you’re learning already!

My nose was so cold and my hair looked like broccoli.

Jenna and I were invited to see a performance by The Regiment, (a horn trio who have performed/recorded with Akon, Busta Rhymes, Chaka Khan, Lady GaGa, Mary J. Blige to name a few) They played at the Libertine last night in West Hollywood and we met through a mutual friend. They were really nice guys and fun to be around! I met alot of Berklee alum actually which was cool and somehow meeting and mingling spiraled into me singing with the band. I sang “Bag Lady” (Erykah Badu) cause it was the only song I could think of the words on the spot…even though I ended up messing them up anyway lol. It was just a fun, laid back night and we had a great time! Apparently they jam there every Monday night, so I’ll be back!

You obviously can’t come to Hollywood without seeing the stars so we made a trip to Hollywood Blvd today and lets just say the weirdos aren’t only in Venice! I wonder if the people that dress up as Michael Jackson, Buzz Lightyear, Superman (to name a few we saw) get paid to dress up or simply do it for the tips? And I wonder if its good money? Should of asked…Guess I was distracted by Mr. Incredible blowing kisses at us!

I feel like a tourist bringing Jenna around the sites of Cali but Im still fairly new here and not quite sick of the tourist scene yet so I’ll give her a pass….Today we went to Venice Beach and encountered many interesting people to say the least. First we were called “teeny boppers” by a rapper trying to sell his music. I wasn’t aware insulting people sells music? After that, I definitely wanted to buy all of his CD’s! bye. Then some singer serenaded Jenna with literally some “Ou’s” that were very much out of key, but quite entertaining I must say. A naked man (well he had speedos on) with a headdress, asked to take a picture with us, probably assuming we would pay him for being weird and naked. And a man tried to charge us $60 for a bracelet made out of melted pennies….mess. Fun times though.

My New Friends…

Ok so this pic you must read carefully…ok I’ll tell you “Traning Abailable”??? Someone forgot to hit the spell check button. AND the eyeliner in the pic is colored outside of the lines! I def want you to come at my eye with a needle please, thanks.

k.bye.
My bestie Jenna is here visiting for the week and I’m trying my best to be a good host and find things to do around this place. Considering all I do is work and have had little time to play, I really don’t know what’s fun in the L.A. scene yet. But it does kinda feel like I’m on vaca too!…well for now…actually not really. Anywho, first stop, lunch at Santa Monica 3rd Street Promenade…
Massive Margarita that we barely could finish!

Ok so this is one of my all time favorite songs. I remember me and my cousins singing all the different parts and harmonies every time we were together. It was serious…everyone was assigned a part they were in charge of singing right…as if we were preparing for a performance or something lol. We loved this song! Now that I look back on it, we played alot of singing harmonizing games as children …guess tag wasn’t good enough!
I’m realizing now, even as a child, how attracted I was to songs with counter melodies and intricate harmonies, I think that’s why I usually put stuff like that in my songs…so here you go. Seal “Kiss From a Rose” Enjoy!
